2024 Antique Log Truck Cruise Rules & Requirements

EVENT DETAILS

Date & Time: Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 to 10:30 a.m.

 

Cruise Staging Area: Monroe High School (i.e., North Parking Lot)

 

Start Cruise: Highway 99W & Ash Street (Next to Monroe Community Library)

 

End Cruise: Monroe High School (i.e., North Parking Lot)

RULES & REQUIREMENTS:

1. Maintaining the safety and ntegrity of the cruise, its drivers, and visitors to Monroe is our #1 priority!

2. Log truck cruise staging begins at 8 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Monroe High School’s Parking Lot.

3. Log truck cruise begins at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the intersection of Ash Street & Highway 99W.

4. All drivers and log trucks must register and sign using the attached 2024 Antique Log Truck Registration Form and Waiver of Liability & Hold Harmless, and provide proof of insurance to the City of Monroe by May 15, 2024.

5. The “City of Monroe (Oregon)” must be named as an “Additional Insured” on vehicle liability insurance.

6. Maximum length, width, height of log trucks allowed is 60 feet long, 8 feet 6 inches wide, and 14 feet high.

7. During the cruise, only drivers are allowed in the log trucks; NO PASSENGERS ALLOWED.

8. All State of Oregon, County, and Local Motor Vehicle Laws apply for the cruise.

9. Antique, classic log trucks that are 25 years or older are allowed.

10. Any damaged log trucks are NOT ELIGIBLE to register for the cruise.

11. No cars, motorcycles, minibikes, bikes, golf carts, skateboards, scooters, etc. are allowed.

12. All drivers must follow all directions and maintain speed of 10 mph or under during cruise.

13. No firearms allowed on log trucks.

14. No drinking or no smoking allowed on log trucks.

15. No drugs and drug paraphernalia allowed on log trucks.

16. No racing starts, passing, burn outs, and squealing tires allowed by drivers during the cruise.

17. No driving in and out of the cruise. Please let event organizers know if you need to leave.

18. Log Truck cruise ends at 10:30 a.m. at Monroe High School’s Parking Lot.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

  • Event organizers and the City of Monroe reserve the right to modify the rules listed above to enhance the event without notice at any time.
  • Drivers or visitors who do not follow any of the above rules will be asked to leave the event by security staff or law enforcement officers.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
(If Applicable)

  • ·If an event is cancelled, all vendors will be given a full refund
  • If an event is postponed or rescheduled, all vendors will be notified and the following options will be provided:
    1. Keep your vendor space for the rescheduled event with no refund; or
    2. Withdraw, as a vendor, from the rescheduled event with a full refund.
  • If you can no longer attend an event, as a vendor, full refunds will be provided up to 14 days before an event. *No refunds will be made 14 days prior to the event.
  • If a credit or debit card was used to reserve your vendor space at an event, refunds will be credited back by the City of Monroe to the original debit or credit card used for payment.
  • If a check was used to reserve your vendor space at an event, the City of Monroe will issue a refund check 30 days after the event.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

For: 2024 Monroe BBQ & Logging Festival’s Antique Log Truck Cruise
Location: City of Monroe, Oregon
Date: Saturday, May 18, 2024
  1. In consideration for receiving permission to participate in the Monroe BBQ & Logging Festival and Log Truck Cruise, I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the City of Monroe, their officers, agents, servants, employees or volunteers (hereinafter referred to as Releasees) from or for any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage or injury, including death that may be sustained by me, or any of the property belonging to me, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, while participating in such event/activity, or while in, on, or upon the premises where the event/activity is being conducted.
  2. I am fully aware of the risks involved and hazards connected with this event/activity. I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in said event/activity with full knowledge that said event/activity may be hazardous to me and/or my property. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage of property owned by me, as a result of being engaged in such event, whether caused by the negligence of Releasees or otherwise.
  3. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss liability, damage or costs, including court costs and attorney fees, that they may incur due to my participation in said event/activity.
  4. It is my express intent that this waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement shall bind the members of my family and spouse, if I am alive, and my heirs, assigns and personal representative, if I am deceased, and shall be deemed as a release, waiver, discharge and covenant not to sue the above mentioned Releasees. I hereby further agree that this Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon.
  5. In signing this release, I acknowledge and represent that I have read the foregoing Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement, understand it and sign it voluntarily as my own free act and deed; no oral representation, statements, or inducements, apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made; I am at least eighteen (18) years of age, and/or am the parent of legal guardian of the individual participating in the event/activity, am fully competent and I execute this Release for full, adequate and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by same.

A BBQ Competition with barbeque from some of the finest BBQ Competitors in the area. In addition to the BBQ, this event features artisans & crafters, antique log truck show (tentatively planned), more great entertainment plus tasty food and beverages!

BBQ tastings will be served hot off the smokers
